RYA Level 2: National Powerboat Certificate / International Certificate of Competence
at Plymouth Powerboat School, Devon & Cornwall
Regarded by many as the 'driving licence' for powerboats, our RYA Powerboat Level 2 course offers a thorough introduction to powerboat handling.

Your level 2 certificate can be exchanged for the International Certificate of Competence (ICC) for vessels up to 10m / 33ft. We also offer the CEVNI (European inland waterways theory) test FREE of charge to anyone taking a practical course with us. The ICC is only available to people aged 16 years+ who are either British Residents or British Passport holders.
Entry requirements: None (it is not necessary to have completed the level 1 course)
Minimum age: 12
Course duration: 2 days – 09:30 to 17:00 (1 day for Direct Assessment 1:1*)
*The direct assessment 1:1 consists of half a day custom training followed by an assessment of your skills. It is only suitable for people with at least 1 season's prior experience
Course fee: £250 per person / £450 with 1:1 tuition / £600 for 3 students / £300 direct assessment 1:1* / £400 on your own boat (upto 3 people)
Prices include VAT, RYA Powerboat Logbook, RYA Start Powerboating Handbook, Certificate (on successful completion), All Fuel (except own boat courses), Tea & Coffee, Hire of Waterproofs and Lifejacket
Dates: We train 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. Courses can usually be arranged on a date of your choice
